Dan Hauser to become campaign chairman for Carl Wimmer for Congress Campaign
Salt Lake City, Utah - U.S. House of Representatives candidate Carl Wimmer (R, CD4 UT) has tapped former state director for Senator Mike Lee (R- UT) as his campaign chairman. Hauser joins the campaign after serving under Lee for his first year in office. Prior to that, Hauser served as deputy campaign manager and finance director and was regarded as one of the chief architects for Lee’s successful senatorial bid.
Wimmer commented, “By bringing on Dan Hauser, I believe that I have brought in the final piece of the team necessary to be successful not only in winning the nomination but ultimately prevailing against Jim Matheson. In doing so I believe that we finally have moved one step closer to undoing the liberal agenda of the democrats in Congress that Rep. Matheson has continually voted for.”
Dan Hauser responded, “I am thrilled for the opportunity to help Carl’s campaign. Carl is needed in Washington D.C. to help fight for the conservative cause just like he did here in Utah. That is the great thing about this race. You don’t have to wonder how Carl is going to vote because you have his record to look at and judge for yourself. I have said many of times, it is no longer good enough to just be a self-titled conservative. You have to have shown that when the going has gotten tough, you stood up for conservative principles and fought against the ever-expanding role of government in our lives. Carl has done just that. Carl is a proven conservative.”
Wimmer summarized the role Hauser will fill saying, “The chairman’s role is vital in that it oversees all aspects of the campaign. His knowledge of the convention system and his connections to the grassroots as well as business and community leaders will be essential to the success of the campaign gaining the party nomination and then against the entrenched incumbent. I feel now that I have the only team in place to do so.”
Hauser comes aboard the campaign just as the race begins to heat up leading to the neighborhood caucus meetings in March and state convention in April. He joins an already formidable campaign, one in which Wimmer has already been endorsed by Senator Lee, the Club for Growth, Gun Owners of America, numerous state and local elected officials and many others.
