In 2012 Utahns will have the chance to elect a true conservative leader to the U.S. House of Representatives--someone who has a proven track record of conservatism, who believes in a constitutionally limited government, and has led the fight right here in Utah.  That person is my friend, Utah Representative Carl Wimmer.

A conservative leader is someone who not only supports the cause of liberty, but has actually led important political battles.  Carl is such a leader.  He has led critical efforts against Obamacare, in support of unborn human life, against perpetual deficit spending, and in support of your right to a secret ballot.

Conservative woman’s organization becomes the second major organization in less than a week to endorse Carl Wimmer for Congress, adding their name alongside The Family Research Council.

 Salt Lake City, UT July 27^th 2011:  Carl Wimmer has added another major player to his list of endorsements for the 2012 congressional election cycle. Today Concerned Women for America; the nation's largest public policy women's organization added their name alongside The Family Research Center as supporters of Carl Wimmer for Congress.

There is a candidate for Congress running in Utah that every gun owner should get to know.  His name is Carl Wimmer, and he is a champion of the Second Amendment and of reining in the out-of-control federal government. 

Carl is just an everyday average citizen who got fed up when his own state representative voted against freedom one too many times.  With no campaign experience and without deep pockets (he was a police officer at the time) Carl gained support from individuals who shared his concerns and—in a shock to the political establishment—the incumbent dropped out of the race and Carl defeated all other candidates to replace him in 2006. 

Arriving at the state capitol, other legislators expected the new Rep. Wimmer to fall in line with the Republican caucus.  But Carl had no intention of becoming just another yes man for party leaders.  He got into politics to do what he could to restore liberty, and his list of accomplishments thus far is impressive.
